A Song for Mary

We had a memorial for my sister in January of this year..
Today is a year, amazing how time flies....
This is an image of her son Paul (on guitar) and Claudia (on violin) playing a beautiful song, ??
Don't remember what, !>?
I know now, what I didn't know then, I could have taken a video with sound with my then new H5.. But it was the first time I had used the camera.
I had ordered it in late Nov. It arrived, the day I returned from the hospital ????
And I couldn't even open it for over a week..
I also realized today that - her passing is still so with me, it is what's holding me back...
Big Realization - today...
Sorry to go on, but I needed to say this...

A moving capture, and precious family moment. I can imagine the treasured memories this image brings back to you. Sincere condolences on the passing of your sister a year ago. I hadn't realised..

My sympathies are with you. I Know it's so difficult. Even as time passes we are reminded and the hurt and memories flood us and we can feel that raw emotion all over again. Each year a little softer than the year before perhaps, and eventually the sadness slowly yields to the fond memories of those we loved so dearly. We realize how blessed we were to have had them in our lives at all.

Frances...I have been where you are, I know how it feels.

My dad passed when I was expecting my youngest son almost 16 years ago and Dec. 1 would have been my dad's birthday, so I just went through the roller coaster ride of emotions that a day like that can bring myself. My words are merely the observations I made as I reflected on my life with my dad in it. In a way your post helped me to see this reality, so perhaps I should be thanking you for helping me to realize that.
