That' what Halloween stands for.
Started as a celebration before tomorrow, which is all Saint's Day.
There is much I could say, but I will refrain from pushing - other than to say,
the paganism in our society - cannot be good.
Actually, it would be from "All Hallows" as in "Hallowed be Thy name..." In the revered, remembered, set apart sense -- the day before All Saints Day, when the revered dead (saints) of the church are remembered.
What "paganism" are you referring to? Whatever its roots, Halloween is really just another commercial sales gimmick. Without a traditional gimmick to exploit in October, something would just have been invented, like Mother's Day or Father's Day. But I haven't met any polytheists lately --never actually-- so I'm not sure what you mean by the term "paganism." Do you just mean "pagan" as a Christian version of "gentile" or "infidel?" In other words, are you saying that anything or anyone not Christian "cannot be good?" Inquiring minds want to know.

I guess 12bit and VF can't hear Tubular Bells in the background as we do.
Happy Halloween FC.
The day was perverted to what it is today, gradually, from generation to generation. It's all greed at this point. But the beginnings of it started (centuries ago) as an alternative to the Catholic view of the day. As I said (and thank you for the correction Viewfinder) it was the eve of a Holyday of the Catholic Church.
A day when all human souls, living and dead, are prayed for as saints.
We are all called to sanctity, sainthood, holiness. Living on earth as a preparation for eternity. Not believing it doesn't make it not so.
This is my view and what I know to be true.
